Cornerstone Lutheran Preschool Carmel is a ministry of Cornerstone Lutheran Church, and is located at 4850 E. Main Street, in Carmel, Indiana. Our accredited programs are uniquely designed for children ages 2 to 4 years old. Registration for the 2026-27 school year opens:

Friday, Jan. 9, 12 a.m. — Current preschool families
Friday, Jan. 16, 12 a.m. — Cornerstone disciples and previous preschool families
Wednesday, Jan. 21, 12 a.m. — Open to the community

Philosophy

We believe:

Children are valued members of God’s family who benefit from being respected, loved, and nurtured by caring adults in a safe, Christ-centered environment.
Children are most successful when an emphasis is placed on building up a child’s feelings of accomplishment, self-confidence, and self-worth.
The parent is the primary teacher and we are here to assist, support and encourage them in this role.
Children learn best when given the opportunity to actively explore, create, question, and interact with the world around them through large blocks of uninterrupted play.
Children need many and varied experiences throughout the day to practice developing skills, including independent, in small groups, during guided activities, and through free choice opportunities.
Future school success depends on a student’s early childhood experiences. Our program is designed with the physical, academic, social, emotional and spiritual aspects of development in mind. Specifically, we use Jesus’ early life as the model for our program: And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man. Luke 2:52 (ESV)

PHYSICALLY

Jesus increased in stature. We offer activities designed to develop large and fine motor skills, along with opportunities to understand the importance of good physical health.

ACADEMICALLY

Jesus increased in wisdom. We provide developmentally appropriate academic experiences that include language and literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, art, and faith concepts.

SPIRITUALLY

Jesus was loved by God. We believe that Jesus is our Savior and the only way to Heaven (Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6) We believe that God created us, loves us, and has a plan for our lives. This is taught through weekly chapel time, daily Bible stories, and activities that reinforce Bible lessons.

SOCIALLY/EMOTIONALLY

Jesus loves all people. We promote social/emotional growth through a variety of interactions with other children and adults. Within this community experience, we recognize the unique interests and abilities of each child.

2026-27 Class Options

Cornerstone Lutheran Preschool serves children ages two years through five. The program seeks to introduce children to a variety of developmentally appropriate learning techniques and experiences. (For a copy of the 2026-27 School Calendar, CLICK HERE.)

All class days are 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

2 Year Olds

2’s Tuesday/Thursday – 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

2’s Wednesday/Friday – 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

2’s Monday/Tuesday/Thursday – 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

2’s Monday/Wednesday/Friday – 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

3 Year Olds

3’s Tuesday/Thursday – 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

3’s Wednesday/Friday – 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

3’s Monday/Wednesday/Friday – 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

3’s Monday through Friday – 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

Pre-K

Pre-K Monday/Tuesday/Thursday – 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

Pre-K Monday through Thursday – 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

Pre-K Friday Enrichment Class – 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

Please Note:

The cutoff age for each class is August 1st of the current school year.
Children born on or before September 1^st may apply for early admission. Please note: All children must be at least two years old before attending their first day of class.
Children in 3’s classes and above must be fully potty trained (no pull ups) to enroll.
Children in 2’s and 3’s classes may be enrolled in more than one class. For example, a 2-year-old may be enrolled in the Monday/Wednesday/Friday class as well as the Tuesday/Thursday class. Please be aware they may have different teachers and rooms for each class session.
Children enrolled in Pre-K classes may also choose to enroll in our Friday enrichment classes. You may select your choice of class sessions or choose to enroll in all four sessions. CLICK HERE for the Enrichment Classes flier.

2026-27 School Year Tuition & Fees

Tuition Payments: Tuition payments will be collected through our Brightwheel app. An invoice is sent out on the 10^th of each month. Withdrawals are made on the 15^th of each month from September-May.
Double Session Payments: For children enrolled in more than one session, you would add the cost of both sessions for the total tuition. For example, a child enrolled in both the 3’s M/W/F and 3’s T/Th class would pay $260 + $328, for a total of $588 per month.
Registration Fee ($125): The registration fee is assessed per child, not class options. For example, a child registering for the 2’s M/W/F class and the 2’s T/Th class would pay a $125 registration fee. The registration fee is collected upon submission of our online registration form.

NLSA Accreditation: Cornerstone Lutheran Preschool is accredited by the National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA).

For the children, NLSA accreditation is a commitment to quality and ongoing improvement.
For the parents, NLSA is an assurance that the school exhibits quality as it is evaluated to national standards.
For the Preschool, NLSA is a recognition for high standards and quality Christian education.
