This past weekend at Cornerstone Lutheran Church was a full one, giving disciples opportunities to gather, connect, and grow in faith. The weekend started with a Dad and Kids Camp-In at Cornerstone Fishers on Friday, January 30, hosted by Cornerstone Fishers Men’s Ministry. Dads and their kiddos (about 50 people total) brought their tents, sleeping bags, pillows, blankets, and stuffies, and set up camp in the Worship Center. Attendees experienced “the great indoors,” complete with camp games, an indoor snowball fight, and songs and snacks around the “campfire”.

The next day, Cornerstone Eagle Creek hosted its long-awaited “Fire and Ice” event. A 24 ft. x 48 ft. ice skating rink was set up in the gym, complete with lights, music, and plenty of warm drinks to go around. The purpose of the event was to collect school supplies to donate to Fast Track, an organization run through Brownsburg Community School Corporation that collects school supplies year-round for community students in need. In July 2024 and 2025, Fast Track was able to help 1,393 students and 1,626 students, respectively. More than 250 disciples and community members came out to support! Thank you to our volunteers and attendees who made this initiative possible.

On Sunday, February 1, the CLC Foundation and Cornerstone Lutheran Church honored Pastor Dan Schumm, retired pastor, for his ministry at Cornerstone. After late service at Cornerstone Carmel, disciples and Pastor Scott Giger recognized and dedicated Pastor Dan’s ministry with a plaque outside the Prayer Chapel. Pastor Dan is the second pastor to retire from Cornerstone Lutheran. We at Cornerstone are so grateful that he is still a familiar face here and continue to be blessed by his leadership, wisdom, and unwavering faith.
