Update on Trinity Lutheran Church Partnership

For the past year and a half, Cornerstone Lutheran Church has been in partnership with Trinity Lutheran Church and School, walking alongside them and providing ministry support. On Sunday, March 15, Trinity voted on whether to petition Cornerstone to join as a ministry site or to move forward as an independent congregation. The votes are in—Trinity voted YES and would like to petition Cornerstone to join as our fifth ministry site.

What does this mean moving forward? Cornerstone disciples will vote on whether to welcome Trinity as another ministry site. This vote is scheduled for Sunday, April 12.

Before the April 12 vote, Cornerstone will host two informational sessions to give disciples the opportunity to learn more about Trinity and what it would mean for Trinity to join Cornerstone as a ministry site. Those sessions are scheduled for:

  • Tuesday, March 24, 7 p.m., at Cornerstone Fishers
  • Wednesday, April 8, 7 p.m., at Cornerstone Carmel

If you’re unable to attend either session, both will be livestreamed and available to watch afterward.

Regardless of Cornerstone’s vote, we continue to pray for Trinity Lutheran Church and School and for the work of the Holy Spirit within their congregation. In the meantime, please keep an eye on your email and eNews for additional updates regarding the informational sessions and upcoming vote.
