On Sunday, August 9, Cornerstone Lutheran is launching a 4-week parent series inspired by the book The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt—a timely conversation about helping children and teens thrive in today’s world.

To kick off the series, we are excited to welcome Heidi Goehmann as our guest speaker. Heidi is a licensed clinical social worker, mental health provider, author, and theological thinker. She helps individuals and families discover the ways God has built restoration into our bodies and souls. As a doctoral candidate, she studies intimacy and the nature and process of topophilia (the deep emotional bond between people and place). Through counseling, writing, and speaking, Heidi creates practical, hope-filled resources on mental health, relationships, and faith. You can find out more about Heidi’s ministry at heidigoehmann.com.
If you’re raising a child or teenager, you know today’s world presents challenges that previous generations never faced. This series is designed specifically for parents of children and teens as we explore practical, faith-filled strategies for helping kids navigate anxiety, technology, social media, and today’s culture. You’ll leave encouraged and equipped with tools to build resilience, strengthen your relationship with your child, and help them grow in a confident, lasting faith.
