LOREM IPSUM
Cornerstone Lutheran Church in Central Indiana is an Affiliate in the K9 Comfort Dog Ministry of Lutheran Church Charities (LCC). The K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry is a national human-care ministry that embraces the unique, calming nature and skills of purebred Golden Retrievers to interact with people of all ages and circumstances who are suffering and in need. Comfort Dogs serve every day in their community and are also deployed in times of disaster and crisis to bring comfort to all those affected, including first responders and the volunteers who serve them.
Magdalene is an AKC Certified purebred Golden Retriever and has a minimum of 2,000 hours of training and over 30 commands. She has passed the AKC Good Citizenship Test and is certified by Lutheran Church Charities. Magdalene was officially received at Cornerstone on March 26, 2023. As our Comfort Dog, she assists us in various caring and outreach ministries, working daily to share the care and compassion in schools, senior centers and nursing homes, community organizations, and charities just to name a few. She will also deploy in crisis or disaster situations when requested.
In today’s world of chaos and corruption, kids need a place to find shelter. Refuge is a midweek opportunity for CLC students in grades 7-12 and their friends. Refuge is a place where youth can find connection with one another and true refuge in God’s love. These Wednesday evenings will include games, worship music, Bible Study, small group discussion, snacks, and social time.
Refuge meets on different Wednesdays from 6:30-8 PM at both our Carmel & Fishers sites. One week it’s at Carmel in the Student Center, the next it’s at Fishers in the Gathering Area. To get the specific location schedule, reach out to Amy Bultemeier (abultemeier@cornerstonelutheran.church).
Once a month our 7th-12th grade students come together to worship and to hear the word of God. After an energizing large group worship time, the 7th and 8th graders gathered in their confirmation small groups while the high schoolers split for community time and other fun activities.
