On Monday evening, voting members of Cornerstone Lutheran Church gathered in person at our Fishers site and online for the Spring Congregational Meeting. Disciples approved the 2025-26 operating budget, heard what’s happening in various ministry areas, voted to proceed with plans to allocate funds from the Forward Together Capital Campaign (for the Child Development Center at CLC Fishers, renovations/repairs at our other sites, and debt reduction), and heard from the CLC Foundation. Members also voted on and learned about the following staff updates:
Call Updates — CLC Disciples unanimously voted to extend divine calls to the following people:
- Pastor William (Bill) Wrede: Called to be Associate Pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church.
- Elaina Guse, DCE: Called to be a Director of Christian Education within Faith Formation. Elaina recently finished her one-year internship at Cornerstone, as well as her studies at Concordia University Irvine.
- Tricia Statler, DCE: Called to be the Children’s Ministry Coordinator for our Fishers site. Tricia has had this role for several years, but recently completed additional studies required to be a DCE.
- Amy Bultemeier, DCE: Called to be our Middle School/Confirmation Coordinator. Like Tricia, Amy has been on staff for a few years and completed additional studies required to be a DCE.
Staff Farewells
- Holly Reay, our financial manager of 15 years, stepped down to pursue other employment avenues. She and Brad will continue to worship at CLC and we’ll still see them around.
- Marshal Murphy, contemporary music coordinator for our Fishers site, accepted a job with an LCMS church in Phoenix, Arizona. We wish him, his wife Cori, and children Chloe and Nash, all of God’s blessings in their new journey!
New Staff
- Samantha (Sam) Kupiainen recently joined our staff as our Director of Communications.
- Kim Halamka (CLC disciple) will join our staff in June as our new financial manager.
Summer Interns
- Aaron Duport, a student at Concordia University Irvine, is one of our DCE (Director of Christian Education) Intern.
- Caleb Krueger, a student at Concordia University Chicago, is also a DCE intern with us.
- Austin Haga, a student at Millikin University, will join us as a Worship Technology intern.
- Hannah Springer, a student at Concordia University Irvine, is our worship arts intern, working mostly with Pastor Shawn at our Eagle Creek site.
