On the first Saturday of the month through May, Cornerstone Carmel hosts Friendship Saturday, a day of fun for developmentally-challenged adults (and a day of respite for those who care for them). These friends participate in games, crafts, Bible studies, and play time, while experiencing fun, laughter, friendship, and love. They are also treated to lunch. And that’s where you come in!
This monthly event needs groups, like small groups or families, to provide and serve a meal for about 20-25 of our Friends. Your group or family can sign up for one of the Friendship Saturday events–this is a great service project, because any age can help, and you’ll have fun working together! Lunch can be very simple, like deli sandwiches or an easy pasta dish. We are looking for groups/families to cover a month through May 2026.
