July Collection: Food for Local Pantries

We continue our quarterly schedule for Cornerstone’s food collections, in addition to regular donations for our Indy Site Food Pantry. Summer can be especially hard for lower-income families, as children may not have access to the meals they were receiving at school. So, we step up to fight hunger and reach out, all in the name of Jesus.

For July’s collection, please bring non-perishable food to the donation bin at your site. Although we will certainly accept bulk-sized donations (like those from Costco, Sam’s, or BJ’s), please keep in mind that Indy site food recipients are often on foot, so consider also donating modest-sized food packages, including items that are easy to open, individually wrapped, and require little preparation. Donations will be accepted through July 26.

If you would like to shop from the comfort of home and use our Indy Site Food Pantry’s Amazon Wish List, CLICK HERE. All food items bought through this wish list will be shipped directly to Cornerstone.

We thank you for your generosity, not only this month, but throughout the year!

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?’…   The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”  Mt. 25:37, 40 (NIV)
