“I Want You to Know Something”
Can you imagine what it would be like if God had a message for you? Think of God specifically talking to you in a way that you hear and understand those things that are important for you. That’s what Revelation is written for. God wants you to know what’s coming next, so you’re encouraged and not fearful, joyous and not anxious. He wants you to know He’s with you to the very end!
As we dig deep into some aspects of Revelation in our new sermon series “I Want You to Know Something”, we will find that the best way to understand it is by connecting it to the Old Testament. Many of the illustrations and allusions in Revelation, including some of the ones that are considered hard to understand, are given meaning by the writings of the Old Testament. We will have the opportunity to investigate some of those and to share a framework that helps you to find some of the answers on your own.
This weekend: “All Things Will Be Made New”
Times of challenge are inevitable. We all experience them. There are things we wish we could fix and others we just want to leave behind. God is the re-creator. God makes all things new in the way that only He can, through the work of Jesus. (Scripture for the weekend: Isaiah 65:17-19, Revelation 21:1–7, John 16:16–22)
