Again this September, Cornerstone disciples are collecting “warm things” to share with our giving partners in advance of the coming cold weather. We are looking for new –or clean and very gently used–and sturdy items. As a team member put it, “…new or very good condition items give the recipient a better sense of care and consideration.” We are collecting the following items, which are due to your site by Sunday, September 27.
Colder weather clothing: For children and adults, across a broad range of ages and sizes. Needs include durable, practical, and easily-cleaned clothes and outerwear, especially coats, sweatshirts/hoodies, sweaters, gloves, and hats.
Bedding and “cover-ups”: Blankets, sleeping bags, and throws that also are durable, practical, and easy to clean. Some of those we serve are in transitional housing or don’t have beds, so they need items that are easily stored and transported.
