Last weekend was our Fall Middle School Retreat! 7th and 8th graders from four of our sites came together for a weekend retreat hosted at our Carmel site. More than 50 students, plus high school and adult leaders, spent the weekend building community and making memories together through a variety of experiences.
The retreat kicked off with icebreaker games led by our high school leaders, followed by an epic game of Nerf Capture the Flag throughout the building. We also started the night with our first Bible study session centered on the theme of the retreat: Chosen. Throughout three different sessions, students explored what it means to be chosen by God—to be part of His family and to know that God chooses us no matter what.
On Saturday, students took on Midtown Carmel for a huge game of live-action Clue! Student groups traveled together to different parts of Midtown, completing silly challenges at each stop to earn clues that would help them solve the mystery.
Overall, it was a great weekend filled with fun, meaningful conversations, and opportunities to grow closer to one another and to Jesus. We are so thankful for the high school and adult leaders who helped make the weekend possible! It was a weekend that strengthened our community and left everyone with new and lasting memories.
