This past weekend, our Carmel, Fishers, and Eagle Creek sites held Rite of Confirmation services with a total of 55 eighth graders confirming their baptismal faith in front of family and friends. This public profession of their faith follows two years of Confirmation instruction, fellowship growth, and service activities. May God continue to bless and lead these young people throughout their lives as they boldly continue their faith journey through high school and beyond!

In addition to our confirmands professing their baptismal faith, our pastors also had the privilege recently of participating in two special baptisms.
First, Pastor Kevin was honored to baptize a 6th grader at Trinity Lutheran Church and School. Our pastors take turns teaching a religion class there, and this student had been asking about baptism. So, last week, surrounded by his class and teachers, he became a child of God through baptism. He was so excited to receive this gift, and it was amazing to see the joy and celebration his classmates shared with him!
Then, last Sunday, Pastor Shawn was able to baptize a young woman who, on Easter, had a special request—she wanted to be baptized by full immersion. While it may not be our common practice of baptism, we know that God’s command is all about the water and the Word. She loved the connection to the symbolic nature of being drowned to our sins and rising from the water washed and made new through this gift that God has given to us as His children. It was a blessing, not only to her, but to our church as well.
We give thanks to God for these believers and pray that their faith continues to grow!
