Another school year is about to begin at 8540 East 16th Street in Indianapolis, now as Cornerstone Lutheran School! Teachers are ready for their students and the first day of school on Wednesday, August 19. Nearly 150 students in Preschool through 8th grade (plus daycare) are attending this year, and we are excited to encourage them in their gifts, as well as show them–and their families–the love of Jesus.
In the past week, we have held a teacher training (including having a little fun creating from trash–see photos below), blessing our teachers during worship last Sunday, and a Back to School Bash also on Sunday, complete with bounce houses, Kona Ice truck, lunch, and a chance for student to meet their teachers.
We also thank all of our Cornerstone disciples across all site who generously donated school supplies! Thank you for helping our students start the year strong.
