Sunday night was a great night as we welcomed more than 200 adults and students to our first Anxious Generation Parent Series talk—to hear about the hope we have in Jesus, the One who meets us right where we are and gives us good things.
Heidi Goehmann shared practical, grace-filled tools to help us build resilience as we navigate the pressures of this world, including anxiety. She also reminded us of the importance of play—not simply as something fun, but as an important way families can connect, build relationships, and create space for joy.
Families had the opportunity to put that into practice by playing Bingo together and talking about ways they can make more room for play in their homes. It was a fun and meaningful way to learn, laugh, and connect together. We’re grateful for the conversations that were started and for the reminder that Jesus meets us right where we are and walks with us through it all.
We are continuing our Anxious Generation series throughout the next three weeks, and you can participate at your own site! We’ll explore practical ways to help families navigate the pressures of today’s world with wisdom, resilience, and hope in Jesus. For more information on what’s happening at your site, CLICK HERE!
Here are just a few photos from that night, both of the talk and of the special programming we had for our 5th-12th graders:
