Cornerstone Lutheran Church’s 12th annual Oktoberfest is coming up Friday, September 25, at our Carmel site—and it’s just a couple of days away!
As Cornerstone’s largest community event of the year, Oktoberfest takes many helping hands, and we’d love for you to be part of creating a memorable experience for our guests. Current serving opportunities include:
- Decorations and Signage Set Up (Thursday)
- Dessert Preparation
- Dessert Serving
- German Supper: Food service & kitchen crew
- Photo Booth Attendants
- Photographers & Videographers
- Event Set-Up (Thursday & Friday)
- Volunteer Check-In/ & First Aid
- Ticket Sales
As a thank-you for serving, you’ll receive 10 free tickets for each shift you serve. Most shifts are about 90 minutes, leaving plenty of time to enjoy the festivities with family and friends.

Seeking Donations
Desserts: One of the most talked-about parts of Oktoberfest is our DESSERT TABLE! We are looking for disciples to donate (either home-baked or bought) specific desserts to this awesome table of treats.
Click here for the form and list of requested desserts. Some desserts especially needed include:
- Frosted Sugar Cookies
- Cakes: Choices include Carrot, Apple, Banana, Pumpkin, Chocolate, and Black Forest
- Gluten Free Cakes
Beverages: 12 oz. cans of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, and Barq’s Root Beer; and 16 oz. Ice Mountain water bottles. (Please donate the brands requested.) Drop them off at any site by Sept. 23.
