Cornerstone Preschool-Eagle Creek Mission Statement
Offer the love of Jesus to families in our surrounding community and provide early childhood education built upon the foundation of Jesus.
Philosophy of Ministry
We provide age-appropriate learning experiences for every child in a safe, supportive, Christ-centered environment. We believe that children learn best through play, and we include times of quiet and active involvement throughout the day. Specifically, we use Jesus’ early life as the model for our program:
So Jesus grew both tall and wise, and was loved by God and man. Luke 2:52 (TLB)
PHYSICALLY – Jesus grew tall. We offer physical activities designed to develop large muscle movement and fine motor development.
ACADEMICALLY – Jesus grew wise. We plan age-appropriate academic lessons that include reading, number concepts, science, art and religion.
SPIRITUALLY – Jesus was loved by God. We believe that Jesus is our Savior and the only way to Heaven (Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” John 14:6). We believe that God created us, loves us, and has a plan for our lives. This is taught through weekly chapel time, daily Bible stories, and activities that reinforce Bible lessons.
SOCIALLY – Jesus was loved by people of every race and creed. We promote social growth through a variety of interactions with other children and adults. Within this community experience, we celebrate diversity and recognize the unique interests and abilities of each child. Using this approach, we lay a foundation for each child’s future formal learning.
Cornerstone Preschool – Eagle Creek admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. Our program does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies and other school-administered programs.
