How Is Your Challenge Going?
by Pastor Kevin Thomson, Pastor of Discipleship
Today (Tuesday, Feb. 4) is Day 15 of our Being Challenge! What struck me in the readings recently was the day the reading focused on accountability. The best way I've heard accountability put is, "calling one another up, not out." It's so important to have that positive, emcouraging aspect of accountaility. Yet, it is still challenging! As I think about those in my community, I think about those who are calling me up to more and more of what God has for me.
This week, we are directed toward the keystone habit of Studying Scripture. In Scripture, it is revealed who God is and who we are. While this can be challenging to adhere to in a world filled with swelf-discovery, this is also a liberating statement! In Scripture we get to hear about how incredible God is, what He has done for us, and what we get to do in His name.
We've been hearing some pretty neat stories of God at work through this Challenge. Here is just one.
"This has been such a great experience to do with my girls. THey both wake up early and ask me to do the Kids Being Challenge with them before they leave for school!"
Stories like this are wonderful to hear! We would love to hear your stories and see your photos, too! Go to Being Challenge on your Church Center App. click on the Being CHallenge, then "Share Your Stories" and do just that! (Or, click here.)
