Be Part of the CLC Giving Garden

Did you know that the CLC Fishers site has a garden behind the pole barn? We are in season 7 of our CLC Giving Garden! Several of our disciples plant and care for this garden and deliver produce to local food pantries on a weekly basis. In fact, last year, this garden produced 4,101 pounds of fresh produce for those pantries!

The gardening season is upon us, and we would love for you to join us at any of our work sessions. This is also a perfect way for families to serve together, as there is something for every age to do! Come join the fun at the Giving Garden at any of the following times:

  • Mondays: 6-7 PM
  • Wednesdays: 6-7 PM
  • Saturdays: 9-11 AM

Donations also needed

Whether or not you are able to volunteer your time in the garden, we also need the following donations to help our garden grow! Please bring these items to the pole barn at the back of our Fishers site.

  • Egg shells (we grind up and add to the soil for calcium)
  • Used plastic baby pools (repurposed for raised beds)
  • Bagged leaves (mulch, compost, and weed control)
  • Used coffee grounds (for the worms)

If you would like to learn more about the garden or join the email list to get updates and notifications of schedule changes, stop by any of those work days, or email Lyn Grandt (click here to email) or Tom Ruminer (click here to email) to learn more about this opportunity to serve. We look forward to seeing you at the garden!
