January 2025 Collection Emphasis: FOOD for Local Pantries

”…if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.” -- Isaiah 58:10 (ESV)

Every month when we publish the giving emphasis, CLC disciples step up. We who have joy in the Risen Christ know His words from Matthew 25: “Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.” Through giving and outreach in our community, we have opportunities to show and to say, “Jesus sent us.”

Why do we collect food so often? Because hunger isn’t just periodic; it is pervasive and persistent. So, let’s join together again this month, feeding the hungry near us. Food donations will go to local pantries, including the growing hunger outreach at our Indy site.

Please bring non-perishable food to the donation bins at any CLC site BY SUNDAY, JANUARY 26. As Indy site food recipients are often on foot, think about smaller packages or individually-wrapped items to donate, as well.
